Welcome to the Volunteers Portal for the 2026 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras season! Thank you for your interest in playing an important role across our festival and events.
Applications for the 2026 season are now open! Other opportunities, events, and roles pop up regularly so keep checking back, or sign up to follow the Mardi Gras newsletter here.
To apply, you will need to first create an Event Volunteer Profile, and then head back here to select the events and roles you would like to apply to volunteer for. If you already have a profile, you can check if any details need to be updated by following the ‘check your profile’ button. It is important to check all mandatory questions have been answered, or you will not be able to progress.
For roles in our Medical Team, you'll need to create a Medical Volunteer Profile, and upload a minimum of a first aid certificate. For roles in the Workshop, you'll need to apply for a Workshop Volunteer Profile, and be approved before selecting a role or shift.
Once you’ve confirmed your profile is good to go, select the event from the list below, and check out the roles and descriptions available. Some roles require certain experience, so read through to see where you know your unique skills will shine, ensure your available for the date and time, and hit ‘Sign Up to Volunteer’.
